Estates & General plc are a property development and investment company which was originally founded over a 100 years ago. During this time the company had seen its fair share of changing fortunes in the sector but, due to an ambitious and focused board of directors, have always managed to keep the company moving forward.
Jerome-Ball was asked to produce the annual Company Report and Accounts. As this was one of the few forms of direct communication with all its stakeholder audiences including shareholders and other investors, it was decided to use the report to show the positive attitude of the company culture as one of the main contributing factors of another successful set of figures.
We commissioned location photography of all the main investment properties belonging to the group and used these in an abstract and unusual way to highlight the various building details. These were cropped into large abstract shapes throughout the report to add interest and create drama. Even the format was slightly different to create stand-out with wire binding and fold-out covers in metallic bronze finishes. The printing was to the highest environmental standards using only vegetable inks and paper from sustainable, managed forests.
The completed annual report won praise and recognition from clients, shareholders and suppliers elevating the perception of the company to a much higher level as a confident, modern and dynamic business. The report also won silver position in the Popular Communications Annual Financial Report Awards.
