I have worked for British Airways for over 20 years as an external branding and marketing communications consultant. This has seen me go through three re-branding programmes and countless communication strategies for one of the leading design-led organisations in the world.
I have gained enormously by working with some of the brightest minds and creative people in the world including both British Airways' own marketing personnel and their advertising, design and marketing agencies from around the industry. I have been able to use this gained knowledge to develop my own approach and strategies in my career which all my clients benefit from.
Working closely with the British Airways identity guidelines, many of which I helped to originate, I have produced internal communications to flight crew, cabin crew and the regions, in-flight information, frequent traveller communications, airport lounges and signage, Customer First programmes, new uniform launches, partnership communications including Oneworld and Unicef, internal branding for various departments such as IM, HR and Procurement and countless other brand and service related communications.
Perhaps my longest association was with the Environment Department which I helped to produce an annual report for over 16 years. This evolved over the years to become a full CSR report in both print and online formats.
