Taylor & Francis has been publishing academic and scientific material for more than two centuries. It became a private limited company in 1938 and successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange 1998. After a highly active period, during which time the group more than doubled in size by acquiring companies such as Routledge, Cavendish, Europa, Garland Science and CRC Press, it became an Informa Group company.
Jerome-Ball has worked with Taylor and Francis throughout these exciting times. During the acquisition period Jerome-Ball was commissioned to create a corporate identity matrix system that enabled different publishing companies identities to be incorporated into the system but with a prominent Taylor and Francis Group endorsement.
This work meant that the original Taylor & Francis logotype needed to be updated along with the ‘lamp of learning' symbol which had been in existence since the very beginning.
Jerome-Ball created a simple and easy to understand template that met all the requirements and established the Taylor & Francis brand with the new imprints whilst retaining the equity in both brands.
This system gives ownership of the identity to Taylor & Francis and allows them to create and manage their own identity assets for the production of their various publishing products.
We continue to advise and work with the Taylor & Francis Group on various aspects of their identity when required. |
